Testing details

Content:
FLV video: 208px * 208px
alternative image: 208px * 208px

pb-embedFlash
version: 1.5 (rc 5.1)
embedding with:

.
(the very same issue appears with other embed methods as well…)

.

Embedding without 20 extra px: h=208

Original image on the left ————> | Embedded image +video on the rightt

(Either JavaScript is not active or you are using an old version of Adobe Flash Player. Please install the newest Flash Player.)

[flash http://www.gantico.it/blog/archive/2008/03/adobe/flv/Amadeo-02.flv
w=208 h=208
f={image=http://www.gantico.it/blog/archive/2008/03/adobe/flv/amadeo.jpg} ]

If 20px are not added for the player bar, both the video and the image are stretched for 20px (or cutted for 20px at the top if overstrech is disabled), which appears more evident with small videos.

.

Embedding with 20 extra px: h=228

Original image on the left ————> | Embedded image on the right

(Either JavaScript is not active or you are using an old version of Adobe Flash Player. Please install the newest Flash Player.)

Calling pbembed flash with an extra 20px in heigh, assures a correct display of both the “waiting” image and video, regardless of overstech option, but there is an issue: when you visit the page from a browser without flash (like iphone or ipod touch), it shows the alternative image stretched for 20px in height.
